My task was to redesign both the shape and the label of the packaging for the Nexxus hair care shampoo and conditioner.
The main problem to solve was to create functional packaging that can easily
extract all the shampoo and conditioner liquid from the packaging and create
a user experience more simple so they can use 100% of all the liquids inside.
Label graphics are designed to be elegant and fashionable with a serif font that
has contrast thick and think formes but also show a natural artistic feeling with script brush alike font for the product descriptions shampoo & conditioner.
Designs were inspired by pearls so the color palette is pastel soft using pastel
pearl purple for shampoo and pastel pearl rose for conditioner.
The colored label is glossy with a thin ring texture while the white surface is matte.
The bottle is rotated upside down so that the liquid inside is ready to get out.
The shape is kept the same so that transfer into the modern mold is more easier.
By pressing the bottle on the sides liquid can be easily squeezed out, which solves the old bottle problem where liquid was getting stuck when the product is near the end.
